Hi, I'm Kaitlin, a recent graduate of the University of Chicago. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. I have been working in veterinary medicine for over two years. My next academic adventure is pursuing my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. I am available to tutor all areas of math including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and basic arithmetic. I have experience working with junior high and college level math students.My tutoring style includes relating current information we are learning to other things going on in our lives. I am able to show my students the logical connections between ideas, make analogies they can relate to, and show them how current material links to previous material they have learned. This style has been very effective with my previous students. I also believe in teaching a student how to get to an answer, not just telling them they are wrong and giving the right answer. Instead of giving the answer straight away, I give my students hints and ask them questions that lead them to the answer. When I have spare time, you can find me baking, rooting for the Blackhawks, swimming, running, and playing mini golf.
